Auckland Business Chamber delivers highly successful employment services in South and Central Auckland. Each year we work with people to prepare them for employment, find them career opportunities, address skill gaps and then provide post-employment mentoring support.
We have two roles available for a Job Search Coach in Manukau and Central Auckland, to work with our job seekers, many of who are young people. This vital role involves mentoring and supporting people during their job search and once they are in employment. You will also be expected to engage with employers, deliver training and provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders.
This is a permanent part time role from 8.30am to 2.00pm Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate will be:
Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with predominately Pacifika and Māori community
Ideally you will have a recruitment, mentoring and training background
High level of initiative with a practical and pragmatic approach
Administratively savvy with MS Outlook, Word and Excel
Skilled writer (CV's and cover letters) and knowledgeable on recruitment practices
Highly energetic and enjoy motivating people
A confident communicator and great listener
A strong work history with excellent knowledge of NZ workplace norms
Candidates must have:
Strong and varied work history
Demonstrated experience mentoring people from diverse backgrounds
Full, clean drivers licence and reliable car
Provide a clean criminal clearance check
Right to work in New Zealand
