Salary: Pay Equity applies to all CSW roles: $22.49 p/h - $28.25 p/h (Depending on qualification and experience)

Brackenridge is a not-for-profit organisation that provides support to children, young people, adults with intellectual disabilities and/ or autism, and their families. Brackenridge is based in Canterbury provides a 24/7 service on a rotating roster (covering AM, PM and awake shifts).

Te mahi turanga - About the role
We are looking for full time, part time Community Support Workers who want to encourage and empower people with a learning disability to live a meaningful life. This will involve:
Actively promoting self-advocacy, self-confidence, independence, participation and choice
Assisting people to achieve opportunities and involvement in a valuing lifestyle of their choice shared by family, friends and the community
Supporting people with their daily personal needs
Nga pukenga, nga tohu ou - What you will need
You must have a full, clean and current New Zealand driver’s licence.
Must be flexible to work 24/7 on a rotating roster.
Experience or knowledge of working with adults and, or children with intellectual disability and/or autism would be advantageous but not essential.
It would be advantageous if you have a Level 3 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or a recognized equivalent qualification, or be willing to complete study towards this qualification.
Commitment to engage and complete the organisational training requirements.
Basic computer skills for notes and reports.
Awareness of the Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its relevance to the support of Maori in Aotearoa/New Zealand.
Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
Brackenridge requires all employees to be Fully Vaccinated AND BOOSTED against Covid-19.
