Established in the late 1930’s, National Road Carriers (NRC) has a proud history of supporting those working within New Zealand’s road freight industry. As a membership organisation and industry body, NRC has some 1500 registered members and its membership base spans from single truck owner-operators right through to large transport companies with hundreds of trucks delivering goods throughout New Zealand.
NRC’s primary purpose is to provide a wide range of support services so our trucking operator members can get on with delivering the goods. We negotiate exclusive member-discounts for all sorts of critical services such as fuel, tyres, truck-insurance and mobile phones. Our team of industry specialists provide expert advice to members on employment, health and safety, and legal and contract support.
Just as importantly, NRC advocates for regulatory and policy settings that provide a safe and efficient road transport industry. We listen closely to our members, and are their voice in consultations with local, regional and national government on all transport matters.Â
