ESTABLISHED IN 1987, OXTED IS A FAMILY-RUN COMPANY BASED IN WINDY WELLINGTON, NEW ZEALAND.

Lucia and her mother Mary started Oxted because they were tired of the sadly lacklustre greeting cards available in New Zealand at that time.

Being somewhat passionate about this kind of thing, Lucia decided to jump on a plane to England, paying a visit to some of the companies that would mark a revolution in the NZ greeting card market. While she may have been a little bit green, her sheer enthusiasm for beautiful stationery endeared her to both international card companies and new Kiwi customers alike.

These days Oxted is a slightly bigger proposition. Encompassing a large fulfilment warehouse by the sea, the fifteen-strong Oxted team are more evangelical about their suppliers’ wonderful products than ever.

Moreover, Oxted also publishes it’s own highly successful NZ Artist range, supporting emerging and established artists from Whangarei to Invercargill.

In 2014 the company was joined by Lucia's brother Christopher and sister-in-law Tamara, who have brought their two decades of experience working with luxury brands in London to inject new energy into the business.

While Oxted may be steadily increasing its digital presence, rest assured that the things that made the company great in the first place haven't changed: passionate salespeople, great service and of course the finest design led gifts and cards from all over the world.
